Case Study - Domestic Heat Pump Enclosure
Project: Domestic Heat Pump (Berkshire)
Noise Problem:
A domestic heat pump was emitting noise in excess of existing background noise levels.
Remit:
Reduce air source heat pump noise emissions by 15dB(A) whilst maintaining airflow into and out of the air source heat pump.
Result:
An insertion loss of 21dB(A); minimised reduction in airflow.
Enclosure Design:
- Acoustic Panels including Access Panel for servicing [front].
- Acoustic Louvre for attenuated airflow into and out of the enclosure.
